About the DTCP

Many people work hard to make the  Downtown Tipp City Partnership a great success. The Partnership Board of Directors consists of nine seats, with representatives from City Council, City Government, Tipp Monroe Community Services, the Tipp Chamber, the Tipp Library, local business owners and residents. We bring diverse groups and individuals together and make things happen in the downtown.

Attached is a copy of our DTCP Bylaws v5.

The Organization Committee, chaired in 2009 by DTCP Outgoing President Reed Spencer, strives to get everyone working towards the same goal and assembling the appropriate human and financial resources to implement a Main Street-style revitalization program. A governing board, standing committees, volunteers and a paid program director work together seemlessly to divide the workload and share responsibilities, resulting in completed projects, consensus building and cooperation among the various stakeholders. The Organization Committee held it’s January meeting on 1/8/2009 and set their 2009 goals:

2009 Goals and Projects:

  • Complete and submit the Main Street Application
  • Finalize our 501c3 (or C3-PO)
  • Fundraising and Booster Program
  • Manage 2009 budget, and
  • set up Volunteer Coordination

Promotion Committee

The Promotion Committee, chaired in 2009 by DTCP President Greg Enslen and Mike McDermott of Bash Foo Social Media, strives to promote the Partnership and Tipp City through various print and electronic means.

Merchants Group

The Merchants Group, a part of the Promotions Committee, was chaired in 2009 by Terri Bessler of Midwest Memories.  This group strives to bring together downtown business owners and merchants to work together to implement business-specific programs.

Communications Group

The Communications Group, a part of the Promotions Committee, was chaired in 2009 by Greg Enslen of Big Robot Game Cafe.  This group includes Diana Featherstone, Rebecca Woodward, Terri Bessler and Executive Director Matt Owen and runs the Tipp City Visitor’s Bureau and distributes all DTCP communications, including press releases, invitations and other information, to our newsletter subscribers and members of the press.  In 2009, the committee will promote the Partnership and Tipp City through:

  • Tipp City Visitor’s Bureau – maintaining Tipp City Visitor’s Bureau and website at www.visittippcity.org
